Thank you for considering membership in The Fort Collins Board of REALTORS®. We look forward to your joining the Association. To make this process easier for you, please read carefully the following information. Please include a copy of your real estate license.

Dues and Fees

Application Fee:

New Member: $185.00 includes a FREE Ethics class and access to FCBR Academy with 12 CE Credits for a total value of over $160


  • Fort Collins Board dues are $280.00 a year. The local dues year begins October 1st -September 30th. (Reduced by $55 in 2012. First Reduction in our 90+ year history)
  • National Association of REALTORS® dues are $120.00 a year. The dues year begins January 1st-December 31st and include a $40 dedicated dues allotment for Advocacy Purposes starting in 2012.
  • National Association Special Assessment of $35.00. Used for a nation wide advertising campaign, and is not prorated.
  • Colorado Association of REALTORS® dues are $145.00 a year. The dues year begins January 1st- December 31st and includes a $5 dedicated dues allotment for Advocacy Purposes starting in 2012.

Application fee and prorated member dues are payable to The Fort Collins Board of REALTORS®. Application fees and appropriate dues must be submitted before your membership application form can be confirmed. All dues are prorated monthly at the time of application. (Dues and fees are subject to change without notice.)

Education Requirements:

Ethics and Professional Practices Class:
This required class will qualify you for 6 hours credit toward your Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation as well as satisfying the education requirements of this Board and the state association. This requirement must be met within 6 months of Board application. A portion of your application fee will be applied to the cost of this class, if it is taken thru one sponsored by FCBR. If you have previously taken this course through another Board in Colorado within the past 5 years, you may be granted a waiver from this requirement by providing a copy of your Completion Certificate.

The other class requirement is to complete the Board’s Orientation class. This class is an overview of NAR, CAR, Board services, government affairs, leadership, antitrust and legal awareness, fair housing, education, and the MLS. Attendance at another Board’s Orientation does not satisfy this requirement.
Complete all appropriate sections of the Membership Application and Member Information form, including the IRES application, if applicable. These forms will also enroll you with the State and National Associations. All completed forms and the copy of your real estate license should be submitted to the Board with the appropriate dues and fees.
