Why would you like to serve as a member of FCBR’s Leadership? It has always been my intention, since joining the BOD, to become more educated on the processes at FCBR, the state at CAR and at the national level with NAR. As I have served in my position on the Board of Directors over the last 1 1/2 years, I have become much more involved in many aspects of the board. I find it rewarding to help generate additional value for our members and would love opportunity to help lead the board into the future. The opportunity help steward the legacy of those who have come before me, would be an honor. I have spent my career, over the last 20 years+ in real estate, new home construction and design, carefully crafting and cultivating relationships in all aspects of the Fort Collins real estate industry. I cheer for the Broncos and the Bears (coincidentally, same uniforms). I love traveling and scuba diving (you’ll have to ask me about my crazy diving adventures). I enjoy Colorado’s great outdoors such as, biking, fly fishing, camping and hiking. I still listen to vinyl and have a great record collection. I am so lucky to have a bunch of fun friends that enjoy life in Colorado as much as I do.

And of course I love the social events like Yard Games and the Holiday Awards Party
Bio: My name is Sara Horner. My husband, Moses and I have been married 23 years and we have 2 grown kids. In 1999, we started Horner Painting, where I served as the CFO. Horner Painting allowed me to work from home and chase my first dream, which was being a Mom.
I am a former PTO President and PTO Board Member. In 2004, we began acquiring our 10 rental properties. Our kids grew into adults, so it was time to chase a new dream – a career in Real Estate.

In this empty nest phase, I have the time and energy to invest. It would be an honor to work as a member of the leadership team

I enjoyed a wonderful career at an iconic photographic company holding roles in R&D, engineering, supervision and management. I ended my career as the Worldwide Quality Director allowing me to experience many different cultures and people.

When this business allows for time away I enjoy many of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer including golf, biking, hiking and skiing. What a place to live and work!
Why would you like to serve as a member of FCBR’s Leadership? Over my two plus year as a REALTOR I have found the FCBR to be an invaluable resource for mentoring, education and networking. The knowledge and resources it has to offer us is endless and we need to continue to find ways to add value to the real estate community. I believe in this organization and would like to lend my experience and energy to help grow this organization and increase membership, value and participation in the many programs it has to offer.

Why would you like to serve as a member of FCBR’s Leadership? I believe it’s important to give back to our industry and our community. We are at an important junction with our local market as we continue to see NoCo growing by leaps and bounds. Being involved in the conversations and serving the members of FCBR will be critical in having our voices heard with local and state governments as we shape the future of our community.
(1) FCBR Board of Director/ C.A.R. Director (2018-19):
Bio: I started learning about real estate and relationships many years ago in the title insurance industry. I never thought I would become so good at reading contracts, but after over 20 years as a closer, dates/deadlines, and contract language became second nature.
Balancing deals between buyers and sellers, their agents and the lenders was full of challenges, but I wanted a different challenge. I decided to get my license and help people realize the ultimate dream of purchasing a home, and I have loved every minute of it.
|Why would you like to serve as a member of FCBR’s Leadership?||I have been a Realtor member of FCBR for 7 years and have served as a Director for the last 4 years. I can tell you I have grown so much during this time and now see a much broader picture and the hills we need to continue to climb.
As a Realtor I can proudly say that I am a member of one of the best Boards in the Nation thanks to those who serve today and especially to Clint Skutchan and his leadership role. I see the need more than ever to be involved in and to take a stand for Housing, and FCBR does just that. I do not take my job serving the membership lightly and know the hours and time it takes to fill the boots of all those great ones before me. I commit myself showing up and taking the responsibility seriously.
I want to be your next CAR Director.
