Fire Sprinklers ' Delayed, but Not Dead
There was a flurry of activity in the Inboxes last week! News articles were forwarded stating city council would not include fire suppression systems from the package of codes they will consider in September. That wasn't quite how the conversation went on July 20. Questioning the need to expend city staff time and energy on something that won't take effect for another 2 - 3 years, three council members agreed to bring forth a Resolution to delay the discussion. Fire suppression systems were to be part of the International Code package council will hold public hearings for September 7 and 21.
